The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M8F is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 8 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
The 3V2M8F turns eight separate 3/2 valves into one tidy assembly. The block provides a single shared supply and a single wiring run across eight stations, and one centralised exhaust port collects the vent air from all of them. On a machine with many small single-acting duties, that consolidation shortens piping and speeds up fault-finding, because every coil hangs off the same loom.
A base has no coil of its own, so voltage, coil power and NC or NO state are set by the valves you order separately. Plan the electrics for the worst case, since each DC coil draws 7.0 W when energised. PT thread is standard; G and NPT can be ordered.

| 3V2M | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| 8F | 8 stations in one assembly, centralised exhaust. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Eight clamp positions around an indexing table switch from one shared supply, keeping the pneumatic plumbing inside the table compact.
A canning line holds lids with eight small single-acting cylinders driven from the block, all venting through the one centralised port.
Eight process shut-off valves use spring-return pneumatic actuators piloted from a single manifold with a common exhaust header.
Size the electrics around the block: with 7.0 W per DC coil, eight stations energised together draw 56 W, roughly 2.3 A at 24 V, so check supply headroom before filling all positions. Choose centralised exhaust (this F version) when one duct or silencer can serve all eight vents. Order thread to match the machine - PT standard, G or NPT to order - then order eight valve bodies separately with NC or NO, voltage and entry fixed per valve; NC/NO cannot be swapped after purchase.
Per-station flow is Cv 0.1, the price of manifold density: a standalone 3V2 flows Cv 0.18 (1/8 in) or Cv 0.19 (1/4 in) and is vacuum-rated, 3V3 reaches Cv 0.62 at 1/4 in, and 3V1 runs on only 3.0 W DC for light duties. For double-acting cylinders, move to the 4V series.

Mounted 3V2M valves are Cv 0.1, rated 0-0.8 MPa and -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050). Coil power is 7 VA on AC voltages and 7.0 W on DC, so budget for every station energised at once when sizing the DC supply. Use filtered air, 40 um or finer; lubrication is not needed.
A 3/2 valve on the 3V2M8F either feeds the outlet or vents it: single-acting spring-return cylinders, air blow, clamping and on/off pilot duty. It cannot drive a double-acting cylinder - that needs a 5-port valve such as the AirTAC 4V series. Also remember the valve state (NC or NO) is fixed at purchase and cannot be flipped later.
