The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M8FD is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 8 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
Eight stations, eight separate exhausts. The 3V2M8FD is the independent-exhaust version of the eight-station 3V2M base: each valve vents through its own port, which isolates the exhaust of one station from another and makes later machine revisions easier, since functions can be added or removed without touching a shared vent line.
The block itself is passive - a machined manifold with no solenoid, no voltage and no IP rating, because those belong to the valve bodies mounted on it. Order the 3V2M valves separately, in any NC/NO and voltage mix, and share one air supply and one wiring run across the assembly. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options.

| 3V2M | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| 8F | 8 stations in one assembly, independent exhaust. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
An electronics end-of-line bench toggles eight clamps and blow-offs; per-station exhausts make it obvious which function vented on each cycle.
A sheet-metal shop reconfigures welding jigs often; up to eight toggle clamps sit on the block and stations are re-mixed without new plumbing.
A corrugated case line opens and closes eight glue-head air gates from one block, and each station's exhaust is piped away from the electronics cabinet.
This base makes sense when station exhausts must be piped or silenced apart - for example near sensitive electronics or inside an enclosed frame. Count the functions you need now and leave spare positions if the machine will grow, since 3V2M stations mix and expand freely. Specify thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and then order the eight valve bodies separately, fixing NC or NO, coil voltage and DIN plug or flying lead entry on each; the initial state cannot be changed after purchase.
Mounted valves flow Cv 0.1, so for a duty needing more, use a standalone 3V2 (Cv 0.18 at 1/8 in, Cv 0.19 at 1/4 in, vacuum-rated) or 3V3 (Cv 0.62 at 1/4 in), or drop to 3V1 at 3.0 W DC for low-power duties. Double-acting cylinders require the AirTAC 4V series.

The block is passive; the valves define the figures: Cv 0.1, 0-0.8 MPa, -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050), AC coils 7 VA, DC coils 7.0 W, air filtered to 40 um or finer. Manual override on each valve helps commissioning. Note the 3V2M family has no vacuum rating.
3V2M stations combine and expand freely, and NC, NO and voltage types can be mixed on one block, so adding or freeing a position is a valve-order change, not new plumbing. Exhausts stay independent per station. Order valves with the correct initial state up front - NC cannot be converted to NO after purchase.
