About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED20X20B
A double acting compact cylinder with a piston rod leaving BOTH covers, the ACED20X20B delivers 117.8 N in each direction at 0.5 MPa (164.9 N at 0.7 MPa), because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 20 mm bore takes a 10 mm rod through a male thread (the B code), and the M5x0.8 ports suit small air lines. Its ISO 21287 short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slides into tight fixtures a full-length body cannot reach.
The through-rod resists rotation and light side load, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag on a test bench. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock, and the hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod stands up to daily cycling at 30-500 mm/s.
