AirTAC Pneumatics
Every AirTAC standard single-rod, double-acting air cylinder in one place: 65361 part numbers across 16 series, 32-250 mm bore, from the SC workhorse to the 24544 N SGC, in fixed and adjustable (J) stroke versions.
inventory_225001 models availableThis family gathers every AirTAC single-rod, double-acting standard air cylinder we list: 65361 published part numbers across 16 series, from 32 mm bore up to 250 mm. Two axes separate them. The first is mounting standard - ISO 15552 profile barrels (SAI, SAIJ, SE, SEJ), ISO 15552 tie-rod large bore (SGC, SGCJ), general tie-rod (SC, SCJ), compact profile (SAU, SAUJ) and tie-rod-free JIS (JSI, JSIJ). The second is stroke: add a J and the cylinder carries an on-site adjustment - a rear-cap screw on SCJ, a rear adjusting screw on SAIJ, an external stop screw on SAUJ, a rear mechanical stopper on SEJ - so an end position can be trimmed without ordering a different stroke.
Adjustable versions dominate the range: SAIJ alone runs to 23345 part numbers, more than a third of the family. Force rises with bore - at the top, the 250 mm SGC is rated to 24544 N push force. Only SC/SCJ span the full 32-250 mm as general tie-rod cylinders, and only SGC/SGCJ are purpose-built large-bore ISO (125-250 mm). Nothing in this family goes below 32 mm bore; below that, the mini and compact cylinder families take over.
Four older series remain searchable and quotable for maintenance but are discontinued: SI and SIJ (ISO 15552 profile, 32-200 mm) map to SAI and SAIJ; SU and SUJ (profile, 32-100 mm) map to SAU and SAUJ. The replacements keep the same mounting interface - for any new machine, specify the replacement series.

SC and SCJ general tie-rod cylinders in 32-250 mm bores push, clamp and index on factory automation lines; the 250 mm top end reaches into heavier fixture clamping where the smaller series stop.
SAI and SAIJ ISO 15552 profile cylinders fit existing ISO mounting on conveyor diverters and stops; SAIJ trims the retract position with its rear adjusting screw when the layout changes, without re-ordering a stroke.
JSI and JSIJ JIS tie-rod-free cylinders in 32-125 mm bores slot into crowded packaging machinery; JSIJ's adjustable stroke sets end positions on site as packaging formats change.
SGC and SGCJ ISO tie-rod cylinders in 125-250 mm bores deliver up to 24544 N push force for press fixtures and crimping stations; SGCJ adds on-site stroke adjustment.
Start with bore: under 32 mm this is the wrong family - step to the mini or compact cylinder families. From 32 mm up, the bore span narrows the list fast: 32-100 mm for SAU/SAUJ, 32-125 mm for SE/SEJ and JSI/JSIJ, 32-200 mm for SAI/SAIJ, 32-250 mm for SC/SCJ, and 125-250 mm for SGC/SGCJ large bore. Next, mounting: if the cylinder must interchange with an existing ISO 15552 cylinder, pick SAI/SAIJ or SE/SEJ, or SGC/SGCJ for large bore; on a JIS machine, JSI/JSIJ; if any bracket is acceptable, SC/SCJ, or SAU/SAUJ for the smallest footprint.
Then decide stroke: fixed, or adjustable on site with the J version - worth it while a machine is still being commissioned, because the J adjuster trims an end position without a re-order. If the code is an old one (SI, SIJ, SU, SUJ), quote the replacement series instead. Note that the air cushion only decelerates the piston near stroke end - it does not hold position against lost pressure; if load holding is required, use a lock cylinder or a pilot check valve. Finally, confirm the five-point match before ordering: bore, stroke, port/thread, mounting style, and the piston-magnet option - position feedback needs the magnet specified at order time, so set it up front; see the cylinder sensor family.
Quick checklist
Bore runs from 32 mm to 250 mm across the 16 series. At the top end, the 250 mm SGC large-bore ISO cylinder is rated to 24544 N push force. SC and SCJ span the widest range at 32-250 mm, while SAU/SAUJ stop at 100 mm and SE/SEJ and JSI/JSIJ at 125 mm. Force figures for the other series: confirm from the datasheet for your bore and stroke.
The J suffix adds an on-site stroke adjustment: SCJ trims the extend stroke with a rear-cap screw, SAIJ trims the retract stroke with a rear adjusting screw, SAUJ uses an external stop screw, and SEJ uses a rear mechanical stopper. If end positions may still move during commissioning, the J version avoids re-ordering a different stroke - SAIJ alone accounts for 23345 part numbers, over a third of the family.
Those four series are discontinued but stay searchable and quotable for maintenance. The replacements keep the same mounting interface: SI maps to SAI and SIJ to SAIJ (ISO 15552 profile, 32-200 mm); SU maps to SAU and SUJ to SAUJ (profile, 32-100 mm). Specify the replacement series for anything new, and send us your existing code so we confirm the match on bore, stroke and mounting.
