The AirTAC SAIJ series is an adjustable-stroke version of the ISO 15552 SAI cylinder. It is double-acting with a single rod and uses an external adjusting screw at the rear to shorten the effective stroke by a set amount without changing the cylinder itself. The adjuster acts on the retract end, while the barrel, mounting and ISO 15552 footprint remain standard SAI.
The range covers 9 bores from 32 to 200 mm. Standard maximum strokes span 1000 mm for bore 32, 1200 mm for bores 40-50, and 1500 mm for bores 63-200. The adjustment window ranges from 10 to 100 mm. Force output at 0.5 MPa spans from 402 N on the 32 mm bore up to 15708 N on the 200 mm bore. Maximum theoretical force at 1.0 MPa reaches 3204 kgf.
Shared design features include variable air cushions at both ends that decelerate the piston near stroke end but do not lock or hold position. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa. Ports range from G1/8 to G3/4. The SAIJ is the current-production replacement for the discontinued SIJ series.
