AirTAC Pneumatics
The AirTAC 2L series is a 2-port shut-off solenoid valve in eight sizes from 030 to 500 with ports from about 1/8 inch to 2 inch - line isolation duty, not cylinder control.
inventory_2114 models availableThe AirTAC 2L series is a 2-port (2-way) solenoid valve built for one job: opening or closing a line. Two ports and two states mean it is a shut-off valve, not a directional valve - it will not shift a cylinder. The range runs across eight body sizes (030, 050, 150, 200, 250, 320, 400 and 500), with port sizes climbing from about 1/8 inch up to 2 inch as the size number rises.
The line comes in two variants. The 2L is listed simply as a solenoid valve and spans all eight sizes; the 2LH is listed as a fluid solenoid valve and is stocked mainly in the smaller 030 and 050 sizes. The model code reads 2L[H]{size}{port}{voltage}[I][thread], so a single part number pins down variant, size, port, coil voltage and thread option. All five AirTAC coil codes are carried: A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V and F = DC12V.
Size drives price hard in this series. Across the 158 listed SKUs, prices run from about $51 at the small end to about $1234 at the large end, with a median around $119 - an order-of-magnitude spread, because the larger sizes cost roughly ten times the smaller ones. Pressure, temperature and medium compatibility for any specific 2L or 2LH are confirmed from the datasheet: send us the part number and your line conditions and we confirm the part.
A 2L valve plumbed into the branch feeding a machine or work cell lets the controller cut that line on demand; the compact 030 and 050 sizes suit point-of-use panels and tight manifolds.
Packaging lines run many separately isolated air branches per machine, and one 2-port valve per branch keeps a jammed station shut off without dropping the rest of the line.
At the top of the ladder, the 320 to 500 sizes with ports up to 2 inch serve main headers and large-bore lines where a manual valve gives no remote or automated control.
Five coil codes from AC220V down to DC12V let integrators match the valve to the existing panel supply - useful in retrofit panels where only one voltage is available.
Start with function. If the valve only has to open or close a line, 2L is the right family; if it has to move a cylinder, step to the 5-port 4V, 5V or 6V series (3V for single-acting cylinders, 4M for NAMUR mounting on an actuator). Within 2L, match the size and port to the line - the port climbs with the size across the 030 to 500 ladder - and settle the size first, because price rises steeply from the 030/050 end to the 320-500 end.
On variant, the catalogue's own labels are the guide: 2LH is the fluid type, concentrated in the 030 and 050 sizes, while 2L covers the full ladder. Which variant, medium and pressure rating suit your line is confirmed at RFQ - there is no published self-selection table for this series, so sending the medium and line conditions with your enquiry is genuinely the fastest route. Before ordering, confirm five points: function (2-port shut-off), size and port code, medium and pressure, thread option (some SKUs carry T or G thread codes or an -X0 suffix - send us the full code and we confirm the exact configuration), and coil voltage.
Quick checklist
Eight sizes are carried: 030, 050, 150, 200, 250, 320, 400 and 500, with ports climbing from about 1/8 inch to 2 inch. Price tracks size closely: listed SKUs run from about $51 to about $1234 with a median around $119, so the large sizes cost roughly ten times the small ones. Match the size to the line before comparing prices, and confirm the exact size for a firm quote.
2LH is labelled by AirTAC as a fluid solenoid valve and is stocked mainly in the 030 and 050 sizes; 2L is listed without a qualifier and spans all eight sizes. Which variant suits your medium, and at what pressure and temperature, is not something to self-select from a table - send us the medium and line conditions with the RFQ and we confirm the right part from the datasheet.
2L is a current, in-production AirTAC series. 2LA is a separate product line - AirTAC makes both and we carry both - so a 2LA part number is not a 2L part number and its figures cannot be read across. Match on variant, size, port code and voltage. And note the function: 2L opens or closes a line; to drive a cylinder you need a 5-port 4V, 5V or 6V series valve.
All five AirTAC coil codes are stocked: A (AC220V), B (DC24V), C (AC110V), E (AC24V) and F (DC12V), so the valve can follow the panel supply rather than the other way round. All 158 SKUs are listed and orderable as genuine AirTAC parts from an authorized export seller; the store publishes no live quantity, so lead time is confirmed on request when you quote.
