About the AirTAC MAC63
The AirTAC MAC63 is a double-acting stainless-steel mini cylinder with adjustable cushions with a 63 mm bore and a 16 mm piston rod. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 1559 N and pulls 1458 N; at 0.7 MPa that rises to 2182 N push and 2041 N pull. Force depends on bore and pressure only, so every stroke on this page gives the same output.
All MAC63 versions share 1/4" air ports, an M14×1.5 rod thread and adjustable air cushions at both ends. The cylinder runs on filtered air between 0.15 and 1.0 MPa (proof 1.5 MPa), from -20 to +70 °C, at 30 to 800 mm/s. This page lists 103 stock order codes with strokes from 10 to 800 mm; the catalog maximum stroke is 500 mm, and the longer codes are non-standard strokes we already supply.

Choosing the Right MAC63 Configuration
Start with the stroke. Pick the exact travel your machine needs; a longer stroke adds length, weight and air consumption without adding force. If your length is not listed, request a quote and we will confirm whether it can be built.
Then choose the back cover and mounting. The back cover sets how the rear of the cylinder is fixed or where its air enters (CA clevis-end cover, CM round-end cover, U flat-end cover). A clevis-end cover with an SDB pivot bracket lets the cylinder swing; flat or round covers with an FA flange or LB foot hold it rigid.
Finally pick the version: S adds a magnet for position sensors.
