About the AirTAC TWH
The AirTAC TWH is a heavy-duty stopper cylinder in Ø20 to Ø80 mm bores with a lever roller and an oil shock absorber, used to stop pallets, boxes and workpieces on conveyors. It is double acting: air raises and lowers the stopper. The thicker piston rod resists impact better.
The oil shock absorber in the lever roller absorbs the impact energy, and on Ø32 and up its damping is adjustable. The self-lock option (F) stops the lever from springing back and pushing the stopped load backwards. It follows JIS standards and needs no lubrication; a threaded hole takes a proximity sensor (M5×0.5 on Ø20-Ø40, M8×1.0 on Ø50-Ø80).

Choosing the Right TWH Configuration
Choose the bore by the load and conveyor speed, using the maximum load charts in the catalog (drawn for a friction coefficient of 0.1). Each bore has one stroke: Ø20 15 mm, Ø25 15 mm, Ø32 20 mm, Ø40 30 mm, Ø50 30 mm, Ø63 30 mm, Ø80 40 mm.
Then the stopper: L lever roller, fixed oil cushion; K lever roller, adjustable oil cushion. F adds the self-lock to the lever.
S adds a magnet for position sensors.
AirTAC TWH FAQ
Both types are lever rollers with an oil shock absorber: L (Ø20, Ø25) has a fixed absorber, K (Ø32 and up) an adjustable one.
The F self-lock device stops the lever from springing back and pushing the stopped load backwards. It is available on the lever roller types.
TWH is double acting; TTH is single acting, pull-in type: the spring raises the stopper when air is cut. TDH is double acting with a built-in spring.
0.15-1.0 MPa, proof pressure 1.5 MPa, -20 to +70 °C, on air filtered to 40 µm. No lubrication.
