About the AirTAC MK6

The AirTAC MK6 is a double-acting non-rotating multi-mount cylinder with a 6 mm bore. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 14.1 N and pulls 10.6 N; at 0.7 MPa, 19.8 N push and 14.8 N pull. Force depends on bore and pressure only, so every stroke on this page gives the same output.

The rod does not rotate, so tooling stays aligned. The compact square body can be fixed from several faces and several cylinders can be mounted side by side. The rod guide needs no added lubrication. All MK6 versions use M5×0.8 air ports and run on filtered air at 0.2 to 1.0 MPa (proof 1.5 MPa), from -20 to +70 °C, at 30 to 500 mm/s. This page lists 16 stock order codes with strokes from 5 to 40 mm; the catalog maximum stroke is 35 mm, and the longer codes are non-standard strokes we already supply.

Theoretical output force (Ø6 mm)

PressurePushPull

Push = pressure × bore area; pull subtracts the Ø3 mm rod area. Usable force is lower because of friction and back-pressure.

Where the MK6 Is Used

Small pushers and stoppers

About 14.1 N at 0.5 MPa in a body that fixes from several faces.

Multi-cylinder banks

Several cylinders mount side by side to save space.

Sensed positioning

Magnet versions report stroke ends through cylinder sensors.

Choosing the Right MK6 Configuration

Start with the stroke. Pick the exact travel your machine needs; a longer stroke adds length and air consumption without adding force. If your length is not listed, request a quote and we will confirm whether it can be built.

Finally pick the version: S adds a magnet for position sensors.

AirTAC MK6 FAQ

No. Every MK6 gives about 14.1 N push and 10.6 N pull at 0.5 MPa, whatever the stroke.

M5×0.8 ports.

0.2 to 1.0 MPa operating pressure (proof 1.5 MPa), 30 to 500 mm/s and -20 to +70 °C on filtered air.

Usually yes. Request a quote with the stroke and version and we will confirm whether it can be built, plus price and lead time.

No. You can order a single MK6. Orders are processed and handed to the carrier within 3-5 business days.
