AirTAC Pneumatics
The AirTAC GAFR series combines water separation, particulate filtration and balanced pressure regulation in one body, spanning six sizes from M5 to 1 inch ports for machine builders and plant air lines.
inventory_21404 models availableThe GAFR is the AirTAC GA-line filter regulator: water separation, particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation built into a single body. Six bodies make up the line - GAFR100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 - spanning M5 and 1/8 inch ports on the smallest unit through 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch to 3/4 and 1 inch on GAFR600. GAFR100 with an M5 port is the smallest air-preparation port in the GA family, and the GAFR range has one more body than the rest of the GA line.
Compared with the economy G-series GFR, the GA line adds a snap-in round gauge with a magnifying lens face for clearer reading, a push-in self-locking adjustment knob that holds the setpoint against outside interference, and a balanced regulating mechanism that gives steadier regulation with small drift. A special flow-guiding structure spins the incoming air so liquid separates more effectively before the element traps solid particles.
The standard type adjusts 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); a low-pressure L type tops out at 0.4 MPa for finer control at low settings. Bowls come in PC, metal or nylon; drains are differential with manual, or automatic; elements are 40 um or 5 um; max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and working temperature is -5 to +70 C. Two bodies have fixed options: GAFR100 takes only the PC bowl with differential and manual drain, and GAFR600 takes only a metal bowl in standard type. The unit does not lubricate - specify the GAFC two-unit or GAC three-unit set where downstream equipment needs oil.

A 5 um W element with balanced regulation holds a steady setpoint for air cylinders and grippers on assembly cells, while the push-to-lock knob keeps the setting where the technician left it.
Compact GAFR200 and GAFR300 units with snap-in gauges and PC bowls fit tight electrical cabinets on carton sealers and labeling machines, showing accumulated condensate at a glance.
GAFR500 and GAFR600 in 3/4 and 1 inch ports condition branch drops feeding multiple machines; automatic-drain versions handle unattended lines where manual draining gets forgotten.
The low-pressure L type with 5 um filtration gives finer control below 0.4 MPa for pneumatic sensors and test benches, and the M5-port GAFR100 fits miniature manifolds.
Start with the port: M5 or 1/8 inch for compact panels (GAFR100), 1/4 inch (GAFR200), 1/4 to 1/2 inch (GAFR300 and 400), 3/4 inch (GAFR500) and 3/4 to 1 inch (GAFR600). Then confirm the five points buyers should match: body size and port, pressure type (standard to 0.9 MPa, or L type capped at 0.4 MPa - it cannot hold a 0.5-0.6 MPa setpoint), bowl material and drain (automatic where nobody will drain the bowl), element grade (40 um for general plant air, 5 um with code W for finer filtration) and thread - PT, G or NPT, which also sets the gauge scale (MPa/psi, bar/MPa or psi/bar). Add the K reverse-flow valve only when air must be able to flow back through the unit.
Step outside the series when the job needs a single function or extra stages: GAF for filtration only, GAR for regulation only, GAFC to add a lubricator, or GAC for full F.R.L. conditioning. The economy G-series GFR does the same job with fewer options - it has no nylon bowl and no M5 port. Store part numbers drop the catalogue dash (for example GAFR30008ASJN) and a B52- prefix marks the copper-free line. Lead time is confirmed on request.
Quick checklist
Six bodies, GAFR100 to GAFR600, cover ports from M5 and 1/8 inch (GAFR100) through 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch (GAFR200-400) to 3/4 and 1 inch (GAFR500 and 600). Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the standard regulating range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); the low-pressure L type adjusts up to 0.4 MPa. Working temperature is -5 to +70 C.
Pick the bowl (PC, metal or nylon), the drain (differential with manual, or automatic with code A), the element (40 um standard, 5 um with code W) and the low-pressure L type where the band stays below 0.4 MPa. The thread code PT, G or NPT also fixes the gauge scale: MPa/psi, bar/MPa or psi/bar. Two bodies are restricted: GAFR100 takes only a PC bowl with differential and manual drain, while GAFR600 takes only a metal bowl in standard type.
GFR is the economy G-series filter regulator doing the same job with fewer options - it has no nylon bowl and no M5 port. GAFR does not lubricate: where downstream cylinders or valves need oil, specify GAFC (filter regulator plus lubricator) or GAC (three-unit F.R.L.) instead. A K-suffix reverse-flow valve is available on most bodies but not on GAFR100.
