About the AirTAC TCM100

The AirTAC TCM100 is a double-acting three-rod guided cylinder (bronze-bushing guides) with a 100 mm bore. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 3927 N and pulls 3681.6 N; at 0.7 MPa, 5497.8 N push and 5154.2 N pull. Force depends on bore and pressure only, so every stroke on this page gives the same output.

Two guide rods run in bronze sleeve bearings (M), suited to side loads and impact; the body mounts from the top, rear or underside. All TCM100 versions use 3/8" air ports and run on filtered air at 0.15 to 1.0 MPa (proof 1.5 MPa), from -20 to +70 °C, at 50 to 400 mm/s. This page lists 16 stock order codes with strokes from 25 to 250 mm; the catalog maximum stroke is 250 mm.

Push = pressure × bore area; pull subtracts the Ø25 mm rod area. Usable force is lower because of friction and back-pressure.

Where the TCM100 Is Used

Pick-and-place and stoppers

Guide rods keep tooling square while the cylinder delivers about 3927 N at 0.5 MPa.

Pushers with side load

The guide rods take side load that would wear a plain cylinder rod.

Lifting and transfer units

Mounts from the top, back or underside to fit compact stations.

Choosing the Right TCM100 Configuration

Start with the stroke. Pick the exact travel your machine needs; a longer stroke adds length and air consumption without adding force. If your length is not listed, request a quote and we will confirm whether it can be built.

Finally pick the version: every code carries a magnet for position sensors.

AirTAC TCM100 FAQ

No. Every TCM100 gives about 3927 N push and 3681.6 N pull at 0.5 MPa, whatever the stroke.

3/8" ports, PT thread as standard.

0.15 to 1.0 MPa operating pressure (proof 1.5 MPa), 50 to 400 mm/s and -20 to +70 °C on filtered air.

Usually yes. Request a quote with the stroke and version and we will confirm whether it can be built, plus price and lead time.
