About the AirTAC PSB10
The AirTAC PSB10 is a single-acting, spring-return pen cylinder (push type) with a 10 mm bore and a 4 mm piston rod. Compressed air extends the rod and a built-in spring retracts it when the air is released, so the rod rests retracted; only one port takes air. Catalog output with the spring force already deducted is 29.8 N push at 0.5 MPa and 45.5 N at 0.7 MPa. The spring stroke has no air behind it, so it must not carry a load.
All PSB10 versions share M5×0.8 air ports, an M8×1.0 rod thread and rubber bumpers at both ends. The cylinder runs on filtered air between 0.2 and 0.7 MPa (proof 1.2 MPa), from -20 to +70 °C, at 50 to 800 mm/s. Choosing the Right PSB10 Configuration
Start with the stroke. Pick the exact travel your machine needs; a longer stroke adds length, weight and air consumption without adding force. If your length is not listed, request a quote and we will confirm whether it can be built.
Then choose the back cover and mounting. The back cover sets how the rear of the cylinder is fixed or where its air enters (CB double-clevis cover, R axial-port cover, U radial-port cover). Mounting brackets on this page: LB foot bracket. R and U covers set the rear air inlet (axial or radial); the CB double-clevis cover lets the cylinder pivot. Ø6 is built with the R axial-port cover only.
Finally pick the version: S adds a magnet for position sensors.
