AirTAC MFCD Series Double-Rod Cushioned Mini Cylinders

The AirTAC MFCD series is the double-rod, cushioned variant of the MF JIS mini cylinder family. It features a rod exiting both ends, which provides equal push and pull force and resists rotation. The bore range spans 20-25 mm across two sizes, with strokes up to 300 mm. At 0.5 MPa, the force class is about 132 N for the 20 mm bore and 206 N for the 25 mm bore.

The shared design uses a SUS304 stainless steel barrel with aluminium covers. It is double-acting with an adjustable air cushion at both ends. The cushion needle soaks up shock at high speeds, but it only decelerates the piston near stroke end; it does not lock or hold position. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa, proof pressure is 1.5 MPa, and the temperature range is -20 to +70 C. Speed spans 30-800 mm/s.

MFCD cylinders use 1/8 inch ports available in PT, G, or NPT threads. An -S magnet option supports CMSG, DMSG, and EMSG sensors. A key advantage is that the MFCD body is shorter than an ISO 6432 cylinder of the same bore. It is a JIS-standard cylinder with no ISO interchangeability claim.
