The AirTAC MIJ series is the adjustable-stroke version of the MI round-body mini cylinder. It features a stainless-steel riveted barrel and rod for corrosion resistance. An external adjusting screw and stop nut let you shorten the extend stroke on site within a per-model window. This allows you to fine-tune the forward end position during commissioning without changing the cylinder.
The range spans 8 to 40 mm across eight bores: 8 10 12 16 20 25 32 and 40. Rod diameter scales from 4 mm on the bore 8 up to 16 mm on the bore 40. Ports are M5x0.8 on bores 8-12 1/8 inch on bores 16-25 and 1/4 inch on bores 32-40. The standard max stroke reaches 500 mm for bores 16-40. Theoretical force at 1.0 MPa spans about 5 kgf on the bore 8 up to 128 kgf on the bore 40.
All models are double acting with fixed TPU bumper pads that decelerate the piston near stroke end. They operate on 40 um filtered air at 0.15-1.0 MPa with proof pressure of 1.5 MPa. Operating temperature is -20 to +70 C and speed ranges 30-800 mm/s. The series conforms to ISO 6432 for bores 8-25 only. Bores 32 and 40 are larger non-ISO-6432 round-body sizes. An -S magnet option supports CMSG DMSG and EMSG sensors.

Choose the bore based on your force requirement: push force at 0.5 MPa spans about 25 N on the bore 8 to 628 N on the bore 40. Select the MIJ when you need to trim the forward end position at commissioning without adding external physical stops. Confirm these five points before ordering: bore size required stroke or adjustment window port thread type PT or G mounting style and the -S magnet option if position sensing is needed.
If your application needs adjustable air cushioning rather than fixed TPU bumpers step out to the MIC series. If you need both adjustable stroke and adjustable cushioning choose the MICJ series. For standard fixed-stroke applications without on-site stroke adjustment use the base MI series. A double-acting air cylinder does not hold position when pressure is lost. If load holding is needed a mechanical lock rod brake or pilot check valve is required.
