About the AirTAC 4M220-06
The AirTAC 4M220-06 is a 5/2-way, internally piloted spool valve with a NAMUR side-face interface, so it bolts straight onto an actuator without piping between them. It is a double-solenoid valve with memory: a pulse on either coil shifts the spool, and it stays there until the other coil is pulsed. On this model inlet and exhaust are both PT1/8.
The spool seals well and responds quickly; a specially finished bore keeps friction and starting pressure low for a long life. It works from 0.15 to 0.8 MPa on air filtered to 40 µm, needs no lubrication, switches up to 5 times per second and weighs about 320 g. The coil is rated IP65 with class B insulation, and a manual override helps setup.
