About the AirTAC TTQ40
The AirTAC TTQ40 is a fixed-height stopper cylinder with a Ø40 mm bore and 20-30 mm stroke, mounted by through holes or the tapped holes at both ends, used to stop pallets, boxes and workpieces on conveyors. It is single acting, pull-in type: air retracts the rod, and when the air is cut the spring pushes it back up, so the stopper rises if the supply fails. The thicker piston rod resists impact better.
The rod end comes as a round rod, flat rod or roller, or as a lever roller with an adjustable oil shock absorber for a softer stop. The self-lock option (F) stops the lever from springing back and pushing the stopped load backwards. It follows JIS standards and needs no lubrication; the body has sensor grooves on two sides.

Choosing the Right TTQ40 Configuration
Choose the stroke: 20, 25, 30 mm on Ø40, tolerance +1.0/0 mm. Size the bore with the impact load and speed charts in the catalog.
Then the stopper: C round rod; B flat rod; R roller; K lever roller, adjustable oil cushion. F adds the self-lock to the lever.
S adds a magnet for position sensors.
AirTAC TTQ40 FAQ
The round rod, flat rod and roller share one impact load chart in the catalog; the lever roller has an oil shock absorber that takes up the impact for a softer stop and has its own chart. Check your load and conveyor speed against the charts.
The F self-lock device stops the lever from springing back and pushing the stopped load backwards. It is available on the lever roller types.
TWQ is double acting; TTQ is single acting, pull-in type: the spring raises the stopper when air is cut.
