About the AirTAC ATQ32
The AirTAC ATQ32 is a single-acting, spring-return compact (ultra-thin) cylinder (pull type) with a 32 mm bore and a 16 mm piston rod. Compressed air retracts the rod and a built-in spring extends it when the air is released, so the rod rests extended; only one port takes air. Catalog output with the spring force already deducted is 248.6 N pull at 0.5 MPa and 369.2 N at 0.7 MPa. The spring stroke has no air behind it, so it must not carry a load.
All ATQ32 versions share 1/8" air ports, an M8×1.25 female rod thread (B versions have a M14×1.5 male rod end) and rubber bumpers at both ends. The cylinder runs on filtered air between 0.2 and 1.0 MPa (proof 1.5 MPa), from -20 to +70 °C, at 50 to 500 mm/s. Choosing the Right ATQ32 Configuration
Start with the stroke. Pick the exact travel your machine needs; a longer stroke adds length, weight and air consumption without adding force. If your length is not listed, request a quote and we will confirm whether it can be built.
Then choose the mounting. Basic (no code) uses the cylinder's own mounting holes. This bore is stocked with CB double clevis. Foot and flange mountings hold the cylinder rigid for straight-line loads; clevis and trunnion mountings let it pivot when the load moves in an arc.
Finally pick the version: S adds a magnet for position sensors; B gives a male threaded rod end instead of the standard female thread.
