About the AirTAC TACED20
The AirTAC TACED20 is a double-rod, double-acting compact cylinder with a 20 mm bore and a 10 mm piston rod. The rod runs through both end covers, so push and pull are equal: 118 N at 0.5 MPa and 165 N at 0.7 MPa. Force depends on bore and pressure only, so every stroke on this page gives the same output. AirTAC builds the TACED20 as the guide-rod version of the ACE compact cylinder (double-rod, double-acting with guide rods); its order codes have no rod-end thread option.
All TACED20 versions share 1/8" air ports and rubber bumpers at both ends. The cylinder runs on filtered air between 0.15 and 1.0 MPa (proof 1.5 MPa), from -20 to +70 °C, at 30 to 500 mm/s. This page lists 34 stock order codes with strokes from 5 to 100 mm; the catalog maximum stroke is 100 mm.

Both directions act on the bore area minus the Ø10 mm rod area, because the rod passes through both end covers. Usable force is lower because of friction and back-pressure.

Choosing the Right TACED20 Configuration
Start with the stroke. Pick the exact travel your machine needs; a longer stroke adds length, weight and air consumption without adding force. If your length is not listed, request a quote and we will confirm whether it can be built.
Then choose the mounting. Basic (no code) uses the cylinder's own mounting holes. Foot and flange mountings hold the cylinder rigid for straight-line loads; clevis and trunnion mountings let it pivot when the load moves in an arc.
Finally pick the version: S adds a magnet for position sensors.
