About the AirTAC HFT
The AirTAC HFT, the large-bore open clamp, is a double-acting parallel gripper with a long finger stroke for gripping large or bulky workpieces. Two pistons drive the fingers for a higher holding force, and a rack and pinion makes them open and close in step, with ±0.1 mm repeatability.
It comes in Ø10 to Ø32 mm bores and 20 to 150 mm strokes. Every version has a magnet, with sensor grooves on four sides of the body. The body mounts axially by tapped or through holes, or from the side, and jigs bolt straight onto the fingers. Bumpers cushion the stroke ends; it works on air filtered to 40 µm, -20 to +70 °C, with no lubrication of the cylinder.

Choosing the Right HFT Configuration
Choose the bore by the gripping force you need: at 0.5 MPa it is Ø10 14 N, Ø16 45 N, Ø20 74 N, Ø25 131 N, Ø32 228 N (gripping point 40 mm on Ø10-25, 80 mm on Ø32).
Then the stroke to fit your workpiece: Ø10 20, 30, 40, 60 mm; Ø16 30, 40, 60, 80 mm; Ø20 40, 60, 80, 100 mm; Ø25 40, 60, 80, 100 mm; Ø32 60, 80, 100, 150 mm.
Every version has the built-in magnet (code S). Ø10 to Ø25 have M5 ports; Ø32 has PT1/8 as stocked here, and the catalog also lists G and NPT (code G or T).
