AirTAC MBLCJ Series Adjustable Cushioned Mini Cylinders

The MBLCJ series is a compact aluminum-barrel mini round cylinder that integrates two distinct on-site adjustments: an external screw and stop nut to shorten the extend stroke, plus a cushion needle to tune end-of-stroke deceleration at both ends. It is double acting and shares its barrel, rod, ports and mounting hardware with the AirTAC MBL family. It is not an ISO cylinder; its core advantage is compact size paired with both stroke trimming and shock absorption.

The range spans 6 bores from 20 to 63 mm, with rod diameters scaling from 8 mm up to 16 mm for the larger sizes. Standard strokes extend to 500 mm, with special orders available up to 800 mm. Ports are G1/8 for 20-32 mm bores and G1/4 for 40-63 mm bores, available in PT, G and NPT threads. The force class spans from 157 N push at 0.5 MPa on the 20 mm bore up to 1558 N on the 63 mm bore, reaching a theoretical maximum of about 318 kgf at 1.0 MPa.

Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa (proof 1.5 MPa) at speeds of 30-800 mm/s. The carbon steel rod features a 20 um chrome plating, and the -S magnet option supports CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensors. Buyers should note the air cushion only decelerates the piston near stroke end; it does not function as a mechanical lock or brake. If load holding is required when pressure is lost, a separate rod brake or pilot check valve is required.
