The MBLD is the double-rod version of the AirTAC MBL aluminum-barrel mini round cylinder. A rod exits both ends, making push and pull force equal in both directions. It is double acting and shares the MBL barrel, bores, ports and mounting interfaces.
The bore range spans 20 to 63 mm across six sizes (20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63). Rod diameter scales from 8 mm on the 20 mm bore up to 16 mm on the 40, 50 and 63 mm bores. Ports are G1/8 for 20-32 mm bores and G1/4 for 40-63 mm bores, available in PT, G or NPT threads. Standard strokes reach 500 mm, with special orders available up to 800 mm.
The series uses a fixed rubber bumper for end-of-stroke deceleration. It operates on 40 um filtered air at 0.15-1.0 MPa, with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa and a temperature range of -20 to +70 C. The aluminum barrel and carbon steel rod with 20 um chrome plating provide durability. An -S magnet option supports CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensors. This is a compact aluminum mini cylinder, not an ISO standard cylinder.

How to Choose the Right Model
Choose the bore size based on your load and the equal force requirement. Force at 0.5 MPa spans from 132 N on the 20 mm bore up to 1457 N on the 63 mm bore. Select the 8 mm to 16 mm rod diameter and port size (G1/8 or G1/4) that matches your flow and mounting constraints. Confirm the five match points: bore size, stroke (standard up to 500 mm or special to 800 mm), port thread (PT, G or NPT), mounting style (LB foot, FA flange, SDB pivot or U/CA back cover) and the -S magnet option for position sensing.
Step out of the MBLD series if you need adjustable end-of-stroke cushioning rather than a fixed rubber bumper; the AirTAC MBLCD series provides a double-rod mini cylinder with adjustable cushions. If you need a stainless steel double-rod mini for corrosive environments, choose the AirTAC MID series. The fixed rubber bumper only decelerates the piston; it does not hold position. If load holding is required when pressure is lost, add a mechanical lock, rod brake or pilot check valve.
