The AirTAC MID series is the double-rod variant of the MI stainless round-body mini cylinder. Because a rod exits both ends, the push and pull forces are equal in both directions. The twin rods also resist rotation and guide the load directly, eliminating the need for an external guide rail in many compact setups.
The range spans eight bores from 8 to 40mm. Ports scale from small threaded ports on the smallest bores, to 1/8 inch on 16, 20 and 25mm bores, and 1/4 inch on 32 and 40mm bores. Force at 0.5 MPa spans from tens of Newtons at the smallest bores up to about 528 N (the reduced-area value) at bore 40.
Shared design features include a stainless barrel, double-acting operation, and a fixed bumper that decelerates the piston near stroke end. The series includes a magnet option (-S) for CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensors. Bores 8-25mm conform to the ISO 6432 mounting standard, while the larger 32 and 40mm bores are non-ISO round-body sizes.

How to Choose the Right Model
Choose the MID series when your mechanism requires equal force in both directions, anti-rotation, or a rear sensor cam in a slim stainless body. Select bores 8-25mm for ISO 6432 mounting interchangeability. Step up to the 32 or 40mm bores when you need higher force (up to 528 N at 0.5 MPa) but can accommodate a non-ISO round body. If adjustable cushioning is required, step out to the MICD family; for a lighter aluminum body, choose the MBLD series.
Before submitting an RFQ, confirm these five points: 1) the exact bore size (8-40mm), 2) the required stroke length, 3) the port thread size (small, 1/8 inch, or 1/4 inch), 4) the mounting style, and 5) whether you need the -S magnet option for position sensing.
