About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED50X60SB
A double acting compact cylinder built to ISO 21287, the ACED50X60SB pushes a 16 mm rod out of BOTH covers, so thrust is identical on the extend and retract strokes: 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa either way. The 50 mm bore runs on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), with speeds of 30-500 mm/s and a fixed TPU bumper at each end to soften the stroke ends.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight robot grippers and press fixtures. Because a rod exits the rear cover too, the back rod can carry a sensor flag while the front rod does the work, and the through-rod resists rotation better than a single stub. This -S version carries the optional magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed or solid-state switches read position straight off the body slots.
