About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X25SB
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X25SB pushes and pulls with identical output because each stroke works on the rod-side area: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction. The 100 mm bore carries a 25 mm through-rod with a male thread (B code) and 1/4" PT ports, and the fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. This model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ISO 21287 ACED100X25.
The short ISO 21287-class body cuts roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight presses and clamping gantries. As a rule of thumb, plan on about 2209 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa (0.6 of the rating), which corresponds to lifting roughly 112 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag; the -S magnet this model carries accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi).

Vertical part ejector
In a die-casting cell, the double rod keeps the ejector plate from rotating while lifting about 112 kg of trimmings vertically with a 2:1 margin.

At 3681.6 N per side at 0.5 MPa, the 100 mm bore sits at the top of the ACPD range; step down to the 80 mm bore (2356.2 N) for lighter clamps or note that 100 mm is already the largest standard bore in this family. The 25 mm stroke is well inside the 300 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a catalogue item. Remember that a plain double-rod cylinder drifts when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check if the load must stay put. This unit ships with the -S magnet and a male rod thread; for new designs, order the ACED100X25 and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP is DIN-standard.
