About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X45S
A double acting compact cylinder with a through rod, the ACPD100X45S pushes and pulls with the same 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa because a 25 mm rod exits both covers and both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 100 mm bore reaches 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end and speeds of 30-500 mm/s. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped to the body for end-position sensing.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight presses, clamping gantries and machine guards. As a working figure, treat roughly 2208 N as the usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 225 kg vertically - halve that for a 2:1 margin and you can safely handle parts near 112 kg. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACED100X45, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
