About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X65S
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X65S pushes and pulls with identical output because each stroke works on the rod-side area: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa, equal in both directions. The 100 mm bore carries a 25 mm through-rod with a female M16x1.5 end thread and 1/4" ports, running on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) and 30-500 mm/s. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke sensing.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight gantries and guarded stations on large-bore jobs. In practice, plan on about 2210 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa (a 60% rule of thumb), which corresponds to lifting roughly 112 kg vertically once a 2:1 margin is applied. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, and the back-side rod can carry a sensor flag or a symmetric fixture. Note that this ACPD is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACED100X65, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacing the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X65S with the ACED100X65S
At 3681.6 N per side at 0.5 MPa, the 100 mm bore covers heavy clamping and lifting; if your load needs under about 2356 N, the 80 mm bore does the same job in a smaller envelope, while there is no larger standard bore in this family. The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a mirrored mount at both covers, and FA/FB flange or LB foot brackets bolt to the standard face. Position is not held when air is lost - for a suspended load add a rod lock or pilot check valve. Order the ACED100X65 as the current replacement and verify ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first.

Because the ACP is DIN-standard, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions and the FA/FB or LB bracket interface before making the swap. This unit carries the -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches; on the ACE, check whether sensing is fitted or ordered separately.
