About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD40X300S
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD40X300S pushes and pulls with identical force because each stroke works on the rod-side area: 571.8 N at 0.5 MPa and 800.5 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction. The 40 mm bore drives a 12 mm through-rod on a 300 mm stroke, which is beyond the 200 mm standard limit for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build. The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the ISO 21287 short format, saving roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, while the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. Fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches. As a working figure, plan on about 343 N (roughly 35 kg) of usable vertical load at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating.
