About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ20X160-10B
This double acting compact cylinder pushes with 157.1 N and pulls with 117.8 N at 0.5 MPa (rising to 219.9 N at 0.7 MPa, 32 kgf theoretical max), with a male rod thread on the 10 mm rod and an M5x0.8 port. The -10 code gives a 10 mm adjustment window: a stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere in the 150-160 mm range on site. Note the 160 mm stroke exceeds the 100 mm standard maximum for bore 20, so this unit is made to order.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which matters in tight gantries and guarding. For sizing, plan on roughly 94 N (about 9.6 kgf) of usable push at 0.5 MPa, enough to lift about 8 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACEJ20X160, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. The stop screw is an end stop only, not a load lock, and the fixed TPU bumpers simply decelerate at each end.
