The extruded aluminium profile barrel is shorter than an ISO 15552 cylinder of the same 32 mm bore, which uses a 1/8" port and M10x1.25 rod thread. This design provides anti-rotation stability and allows the back rod to carry a sensor cam for legacy CS1-B/DS1-B switches.

This SUD series is discontinued and the exact drop-in replacement is the SAUD32X25S, which retains the same bore, stroke, 1/8" port, and FA/LB mounting. The SAUD upgrades to current CMSG/DMSG/EMSG sensors and offers the SAUF built-in-valve variant. For sizing, the equal-both-ways force yields a safe working load of about 207 N (60% of the 345 N at 0.5 MPa figure) and a vertical lift capacity of approximately 18 kg with a 2:1 margin.
