Remember that holding force and thrust are distinct quantities; you must size the 8600 N clamp against your static load, not the 8590 N cylinder thrust.
This enclasp mechanism requires a third G1/8 unlock port alongside the twin 1/2 PT cylinder ports. Because the variable air cushion only decelerates the piston near stroke ends, the mechanical clamp is solely responsible for securing the load. The lock engages strictly after the rod stops, so it cannot brake a moving rod, and releasing requires balanced air pressure to prevent abrupt rod jump. Choose this 125 mm bore when a 100 mm bore (offering 3927 N thrust at 0.5 MPa and 5500 N holding force) cannot safely support your vertical load. If full-stroke end holding is sufficient, a plain SAI cylinder avoids the clamp complexity, but BSAI wins when intermediate stops are needed. Unlike SAIL, which only locks at stroke ends, this model clamps anywhere.
For this 1000 mm stroke, the M27x2 rod thread and 32 mm diameter provide excellent side-load capacity, but an external guide is still recommended for unsupported spans. Replacements must match the single rod, 125 mm bore, 1000 mm stroke, 1/2 PT ports, and the BSAI mounting set (Basic, FA, FB, CA, CB, CR, LB, TC, TCM1, TCM2). Ensure the -S magnet pairs with your CMSE/DMSE switches. Safety-critical loads require an independent backup measure.
