If you need higher holding capacity, stepping up to a 63mm bore increases the static holding force to 2200 N (with 1402 N thrust at 0.5 MPa). For lighter loads, a 40mm bore offers 900 N holding force and 528 N pull thrust.

This BSAID50X500 uses PT tapered ports and accepts Basic, FA, LB, TC, TCM1, and TCM2 mounts (omitting FB/CA/CB/CR). Because the stroke is 500mm, the long unsupported rod requires an external guide to prevent side-load wear.
