An optional high-temperature seal material extends the range to 0 to 150 C. How to choose
Choose the bore for thrust: 16 mm gives 100.5 N of theoretical push at 0.5 MPa, versus 39.3 N for 10 mm. Then choose between MD, where rod rotation is allowed, and MK, where a no-rotating plate prevents it. This MDJ is double acting with a 50 mm base stroke plus a 30 mm adjustable range; the 50 mm stroke is the maximum in the bore 16 table, so respect the short-cover caution rather than asking for a longer stroke. This SKU has no magnet (no trailing S); pick the S version if you need switch slots to be usable. Thread is PT as standard, with a G option. FAQ
Does MDJ16X50-30 include a magnet?
No. The code ends without an S, so this SKU is supplied without a magnet. If you need the magnetic piston so position switches in the body slots can detect it, order the MDJ16X50-30S version instead. The magnet is an option, not a fixed feature of the series.
Why is the stroke capped at 50 mm on this 16 mm bore?
In the MD/MK multi-mount series, bore 16 cylinders are offered up to 50 mm of stroke, and this MDJ adds a 30 mm adjustable range on top. The short covers limit how long a stroke the compact body can sensibly carry, so keep the stroke short where possible and confirm sizing from the datasheet or ask us.
