The AirTAC Airtac SAIF Series Standard Cylinder with Valve SAIF100X450-10B is a genuine double-acting ISO 15552 cylinder with a Ø100mm bore, 450mm stroke and a built-in 4M310-10 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The AirTAC SAIF100X450-10B is a double-acting profile cylinder with a built-in 4M310-10 5/2 solenoid valve delivering a Cv of 1.68. Driven by a DC24V terminal entry coil consuming 3.0 W, it eliminates remote valve plumbing. The integrated manifold uses O10 x O6.5 PU tubing to bridge the valve and cylinder port. While the bare cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa, the built-in valve limits the practical SAIF operating pressure to 0.15-0.8 MPa.
In this 100mm bore configuration, the rod extends and retracts with substantial thrust, generating 3927N of push force at 0.5 MPa and 5497N at 0.7 MPa. By default, the factory setting retracts the piston rod when the coil is energised, but you can reposition the valve to extend-when-energised. The unit is dimensionally interchangeable per ISO 15552 and operates at speeds of 30-800 mm/s.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAIF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAIF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).
Ideal for large-scale automated machinery where installing individual valve banks is impractical, using the built-in DC24V coil to actuate the 100mm bore directly at the station.
Delivers up to 3927N of push force at 0.5 MPa for pressing, clamping, or forming tasks, eliminating the need for external plumbing while maintaining ISO 15552 mounting interchangeability.
Perfect for upgrading older machines where routing new valve tubing across a long distance is costly, offering a self-contained actuation solution with a 4M310 valve.
Choose this 100mm bore when an application demands high thrust that smaller bores cannot provide; for comparison, dropping to an 80mm bore reduces the 0.5 MPa push force to 2513N. The self-valved SAIF architecture is ideal for decentralized machine stations, saving panel space and reducing wiring compared to running separate valve banks. To replace this unit, match the 100mm bore, 450mm stroke, 3/8" valve port, PT3/8" cylinder port, DC24V terminal coil, and standard carbon steel rod. Since the stroke is 450mm, ensure adequate guiding to prevent excessive side loads on the piston rod.
Remember that the 5/2 valve routes air but does not lock the load; if you need true position holding without live pressure, consider the AirTAC SAIL lock cylinder or BSAI clamp-lock series instead. The air cushion only decelerates the rod near the stroke ends.
Quick checklist
The 100mm bore generates 3927N of push force and 3681N of pull force at 0.5 MPa. The integrated 4M310-10 valve has an effective area of 30.0 mm2 and a Cv of 1.68.
By factory default, the piston rod retracts when the coil is energised. This can be reconfigured to extend-when-energised by repositioning the valve on the manifold block.
