The AirTAC SAIF40X250-06A is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder featuring an integrated 4M210-06 5/2 solenoid valve. Because the cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa but the internal pilot valve operates at 0.15-0.8 MPa, the practical working range for the assembled SAIF is 0.15-0.8 MPa.
This self-contained design eliminates the need for remote plumbing, using an O8xO5 PU tube to bridge the manifold and cylinder. By default, the piston rod retracts when the coil is energised, but you can reconfigure it to extend-when-energised simply by repositioning the valve. The AC coil consumes 3.5 VA, features IP65 protection, and responds in 0.05 s or less.

The self-valved SAIF architecture is ideal for decentralized machine stations, cutting panel space and tubing runs compared to a separate cylinder and remote valve. When specifying this model, confirm your requirements for a 250mm stroke, PT1/8 cylinder port, 1/8" valve port, AC220V terminal connection, and no magnet (-S). For strokes of 250mm or greater, ensure adequate guide support to handle potential side loads.
Remember that the built-in 5/2 valve routes air but does not lock the load; if you need true position holding under pressure loss, consider the SAIL lock series instead. The air cushion only decelerates the piston near the stroke ends.
