The AirTAC Airtac SAIF Series Standard Cylinder with Valve SAIF50X400S-06B is a genuine double-acting ISO 15552 cylinder with a Ø50mm bore, 400mm stroke and a built-in 4M210-06 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The AirTAC SAIF50X400S-06A is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated 4M210-06 5/2 solenoid valve, delivering a Cv of 0.78. Driven by a DC24V terminal coil drawing 3.0W, it eliminates the need for a separate remote valve. The cylinder barrel is rated for 1.0 MPa, but because the built-in valve operates at 0.15-0.8 MPa, the practical working range for this assembled unit is 0.15-0.8 MPa. It delivers 982N of push force at 0.5 MPa.
By default, the piston rod retracts when the coil is energised, but this can be reconfigured to extend-when-energised simply by repositioning the valve. The manifold connects to the cylinder via O8xO5 PU tubing, and the valve port (1/8) is distinct from the cylinder port (1/4). Fitted with a magnet (-S), it supports CMSE reed and DMSE electronic sensors for precise position detection.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAIF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAIF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

Sized within the valve's 0.15–0.8 MPa range. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical due to friction and back-pressure.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).
Ideal for large machines with decentralized stations, switching itself from one DC24V coil signal without remote plumbing.
Fits compact assemblies where panel space is tight, integrating the 4M210 valve and cylinder into one envelope.
Perfect for retrofits where running new valve tubing is costly, using a single electrical connection for control.
Choose this 50mm bore if you need 982N push force at 0.5 MPa; stepping down to a 40mm bore yields 628N, while a 63mm bore provides 1559N. A self-valved SAIF is ideal for decentralized stations across a large machine, saving panel space and plumbing compared to running separate valve tubing. This DC24V terminal entry model offers safe low-voltage control. If the application requires holding a load unpowered, note that the 5/2 valve routes air and is not a lock; consider the SAIL lock cylinder instead.
For the 400mm stroke, add external guide rails to manage side loads and prevent rod binding. To replace this unit, match the 50mm bore, 400mm stroke, 1/8 valve port, DC24V voltage, terminal entry, PT thread, and the -S magnet.
Quick checklist
The 50mm bore generates 982N push force at 0.5 MPa and 1767N at 0.9 MPa. The built-in 4M210-06 valve has an effective area of 14.0 mm2 (Cv 0.78).
No separate valve is needed. The factory setting retracts the rod when the DC24V coil is energised, but you can reposition the valve to extend-when-energised.
