By default, the piston rod retracts when the coil is energised, but you can reconfigure it to extend-when-energised simply by repositioning the valve. The manifold feeds the cylinder via a PU tube (O10 x O6.5), keeping the valve port (1/4) distinct from the cylinder port (3/8). This decentralized design minimizes panel space and tubing runs across large machines.

Note that this unit lacks the -S magnet for CMSE or DMSE sensors.
Remember that the built-in 5/2 valve routes air but does not lock the load without live pressure. If your application requires mechanical holding, consider the SAIL lock cylinder instead. Since the stroke is 100mm, side-load guides are not a primary concern here.
