The AirTAC SAIF63X1000S-08B is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder equipped with a built-in 4M310-08 5/2 solenoid valve, delivering a Cv of 1.40 and a 25.0 mm2 effective orifice. Driven by a DC24V terminal coil drawing 3.0 W, it achieves IP65 protection and a 0.05 s activation time. Because the integrated valve operates at 0.15-0.8 MPa, this defines the practical working pressure for the assembled unit, even though the bare cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa. At 0.5 MPa it generates 1559 N of push force and 1402 N of pull force.
This self-switching design eliminates the need for a separate remote valve, reducing tubing and panel space for decentralized machine stations. The manifold connects to the cylinder via PU tubing (O10 x O6.5), and the valve port (1/4") differs from the cylinder port (3/8"). Factory-set to retract the rod when the coil is energised, the valve can be repositioned to extend-when-energised. The -S magnet option supports position sensing with AirTAC CMSE reed or DMSE electronic switches.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).

Choose this 63 mm bore when a 50 mm bore (providing 982 N push at 0.5 MPa) is insufficient, but an 80 mm bore (2513 N push) would be excessive. The SAIF63X1000S-08B is optimal for decentralized stations where running separate valve tubing is costly, as one DC24V terminal signal directly controls the cylinder. The PT-threaded valve port is 1/4", while the cylinder port is 3/8".
For replacement, verify the 1000 mm stroke, 4M310-08 valve, DC24V voltage, terminal entry, PT threads, and -S magnet. Because the stroke is 1000 mm, use a guide rail to prevent rod side-loading and premature seal wear. Note that the built-in 5/2 valve routes air but does not lock the load; for position holding under pressure loss, consider an AirTAC SAIL lock cylinder.
