Although the base cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa, the practical SAIF operating range is 0.15-0.8 MPa due to the internal pilot valve. This assembly controls itself from one coil signal, eliminating remote valves and excess tubing for decentralized stations. Factory set to retract when energised, the valve can be repositioned to extend-when-energised. Note the air cushions only decelerate near stroke end; this unit does not hold load without live pressure.

Select the DC24V terminal coil for standard low-voltage control panels.
When ordering a replacement, confirm the 50 mm stroke, 3/8" cylinder port, 1/4" valve port, DC24V voltage, terminal entry, PT thread, and absence of a magnet. Since the stroke is under 300 mm, side-load guide concerns are minimal. For applications requiring true load holding without live pressure, consider the SAIL lock cylinder instead.
