This decentralized design eliminates remote plumbing and panel space, requiring only a single electrical signal to drive the motion. The factory setting retracts the piston rod when the coil is energised, but you can reconfigure it to extend-when-energised by repositioning the valve. If your application requires less force, stepping down to a 50mm bore saves envelope space. The SAIF self-valved design is ideal for decentralized stations where running separate valve tubing is costly, as it mounts the 4M310 valve directly via a manifold block and O10 x O6.5 PU tubing. It provides a 3/8" cylinder port and a 3/8" valve port. Remember that the built-in 5/2 valve routes air but does not lock the load; for true position holding under pressure loss, select a SAIL lock cylinder.
