The AirTAC Airtac SAIF Series Standard Cylinder with Valve SAIF80X175S-08B is a genuine double-acting ISO 15552 cylinder with a Ø80mm bore, 175mm stroke and a built-in 4M310-08 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The AirTAC SAIF80X175S-08B is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder paired with a built-in 4M310-08 5/2 solenoid valve. Delivering a Cv of 1.40, the integrated valve eliminates remote plumbing, routing air directly through a manifold block via O10 x O6.5 PU tubing. Driven by a DC24V terminal connection drawing 3.0 W, it activates in 0.05 seconds. Because the valve operates at 0.15-0.8 MPa, this defines the practical working range for the assembled unit, despite the cylinder body rating of 1.0 MPa.
This 80mm bore generates 2513N of push force at 0.5 MPa and up to 4523N at 0.9 MPa. Equipped with a magnet for position sensing, it supports CMSE reed and DMSE electronic switches. The factory setting retracts the carbon steel piston rod when the coil energises, but you can reposition the valve to extend-when-energised. It is a self-switching actuator ideal for decentralized stations across large machines.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAIF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAIF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

Sized within the valve's 0.15–0.8 MPa range. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical due to friction and back-pressure.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).
Ideal for large factory machines where running individual valve tubing is costly, allowing each station to control itself via a single DC24V signal.
Delivers 2513N of push force at 0.5 MPa for heavy-duty clamping tasks without needing a separate remote valve bank.
The built-in 4M310-08 valve manifold saves valuable panel space and reduces plumbing complexity in dense equipment layouts.
Select this 80mm bore when 50mm falls short, as the 50mm bore only provides 982N push force at 0.5 MPa compared to this unit's 2513N. The integrated 4M310-08 valve makes a self-valved SAIF superior to a separate cylinder and remote valve setup, saving panel space and wiring complexity. Note that while the 5/2 valve routes air, it does not hold the load without live pressure; for true mechanical locking, consider the SAIL series. The 175mm stroke is under the 300mm threshold, so standard mounting handles the load without auxiliary guides.
When replacing, match the 80mm bore, 175mm stroke, PT1/4 cylinder port, 1/4" valve port, DC24V voltage, terminal entry, PT threads, and the -S magnet requirement.
Quick checklist
At 0.5 MPa it provides 2513N push force and 2268N pull force. At 0.7 MPa the push force increases to 3518N. The maximum push force is 4523N at 0.9 MPa.
Yes. The factory default retracts the rod when the DC24V coil energises, but you can reposition the 5/2 valve to extend-when-energised. This eliminates the need for a separate remote valve.
