The AirTAC SAIF80X450S-10A is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder featuring an integrated 4M310-10 5/2 solenoid valve. This built-in valve provides an effective flow rate of 30.0 mm2 (Cv 1.68) and operates at 4 cycles per second. Supplied with an AC220V terminal coil drawing 3.5 VA, it includes a magnet for position sensing with CMSE reed and DMSE electronic switches. The standard carbon steel piston rod has an M20x1.5 thread.
Because the 5/2 valve operates from 0.15 to 0.8 MPa, the practical working pressure range of this assembled SAIF unit is 0.15-0.8 MPa, even though the bare cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa. At 0.5 MPa it generates 2513 N of push force. By default, the piston rod retracts when the coil is energised, but you can reconfigure the valve to extend-when-energised. The manifold uses O10 x O6.5 PU tubing, and the valve port (3/8) differs from the cylinder port (3/8). This self-contained design eliminates remote plumbing, saving panel space for decentralized machine stations.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).

If your force requirements are lower, stepping down to a 63mm bore yields 1559 N push at 0.5 MPa, while moving up is not possible as 80mm is near the top of the SAIF range. The self-valved SAIF architecture is ideal when running separate valve tubing to a centralized panel is costly or space-prohibitive. This specific SKU uses an AC220V terminal connection with PT threaded ports. Note that the 5/2 valve routes air but does not lock the load; for true position holding under pressure loss, consider the SAIL lock cylinder. For stroke lengths of 450mm or more, ensure your machine design includes a guide to prevent excessive side loading on the piston rod.
