The AirTAC SAIF80X700S-08S is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder equipped with a built-in 4M310-08 5/2 solenoid valve, delivering a Cv of 1.40 and a 25.0 mm2 effective area. Driven by an AC220V terminal coil consuming 3.5 VA, it achieves IP65 protection and a 0.05 s response. While the cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa, the integrated valve limits the practical working pressure to 0.15-0.8 MPa. At 0.5 MPa it generates 2513 N of push force.
This assembly eliminates the need for a separate remote valve, using a manifold block and O10 x O6.5 PU tubing to switch itself from one coil signal. Factory set to retract the rod when energised, the valve can be repositioned to extend on signal. The -S magnet supports CMSE reed and DMSE electronic sensors for position feedback.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).

Choose this 80mm bore when a 63mm bore (1402 N pull at 0.5 MPa) lacks the force for heavier handling, but a 100mm bore (3927 N push at 0.5 MPa) is oversized. The self-valved SAIF excels in decentralized stations by cutting panel space and tubing runs. Specify the 4M310-08 valve port (1/4 inch), AC220V voltage, terminal entry, and PT threads for replacements. For the 700mm stroke, add an external guide to prevent side loads from scoring the aluminum profile barrel.
Note that neither the 5/2 valve nor the adjustable air cushions (36 mm) lock or hold a load without live pressure. For true mid-stroke holding, select an AirTAC SAIL pneumatic lock or BSAI clamp-lock cylinder instead of relying on the SAIF.
