The AirTAC Airtac SAUF Series Valve-Mounted Air Cylinder SAUF40X50-06A is a genuine double-acting profile-type cylinder with a Ø40mm bore, 50mm stroke and a built-in 4M210-06 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The AirTAC SAUF40X50-06A is a double-acting profile cylinder with a built-in 4M210-06 5/2 solenoid valve on the cap. One AC220V coil signal drives the rod, eliminating remote plumbing and saving a manifold slot. The extruded aluminum barrel is shorter than an ISO 15552 unit of the same bore. The cylinder port is 1/4" and the valve port is 1/8".
Operating strictly within the 0.15-0.8 MPa valve window, it delivers 628 N push and 528 N pull at 0.5 MPa. The 4M210 valve flows 14 mm2 (Cv 0.78) at up to 5 cycles/s. Computed sizing: safe working load is ~377 N (60% of the 0.5 MPa push), and vertical lift is ~32 kg with a 2:1 margin. This terminal-entry SKU lacks a magnet, so it cannot accept a sensor.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAUF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAUF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

Sized within the valve's 0.15–0.8 MPa range. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical due to friction and back-pressure.

SAUF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For a held load, add an external rod lock or a pilot-operated check valve.
Each clamping actuator switches itself locally via the built-in valve, removing long tube runs back to a central manifold.
A single AC220V signal actuates the diverter, saving manifold space while providing 528 N pull force at 0.5 MPa.
Ideal for distributed assembly cells where routing air for a remote 4M210 valve would add complexity and leak points.
Size by force: this 40 mm bore gives 628 N push at 0.5 MPa; step down to a 32 mm bore for 402 N, or up to a 50 mm bore for 982 N. Confirm the AC220V terminal entry and 1/8" valve port suit your supply. The assembled unit must operate at 0.15-0.8 MPa, not the 1.0 MPa cylinder body rating. Default action retracts the rod when energised, but repositioning the valve changes it to extend-when-energised. The valve routes air and is not a lock; add an external rod lock or pilot-operated check valve to hold a load. For this 50 mm stroke, side-load guides are not critical, but standard SC-series mounts apply.
Quick checklist
It generates 628 N push and 528 N pull at 0.5 MPa. The built-in valve is a 4M210-06 (1/8" port, Cv 0.78, 5 cycles/s max) driven by an AC220V terminal-entry coil. Although the cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa, the assembled SAUF must operate within the 0.15-0.8 MPa valve window.
By default the rod retracts when the coil is energised, but you can reposition the valve to extend-when-energised. The valve only routes air; it is not a load lock. The piston will drift on air loss, so install an external rod lock or pilot-operated check valve for holding. Also, this no-magnet SKU cannot take a sensor.
