The AirTAC Airtac SAUF Series Valve-Mounted Air Cylinder SAUF80X250S-10B is a genuine double-acting profile-type cylinder with a Ø80mm bore, 250mm stroke and a built-in 4M310-10 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The SAUF80X250S-10B is a double-acting profile cylinder with a built-in AirTAC 4M310 5/2 solenoid valve on the cap. One coil signal drives the actuator, eliminating remote plumbing and saving a manifold slot. The extruded aluminum barrel is shorter than an ISO 15552 unit of the same bore. It features a 3/8" cylinder port, an M20x1.5 rod thread, and 28mm adjustable cushions.
Driven by a DC24V terminal-entry coil (IP65, 3.0W), the 3/8" valve port flows 30 mm2 (Cv 1.68) at up to 4 cycles/sec. The cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa, but you must size force within the valve's 0.15-0.8 MPa operating window. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 2513 N and pulls 2268 N. The computed safe working load is about 1508 N (60% of the 0.5 MPa push), giving a vertical lift capacity of roughly 128 kg with a 2:1 margin. The S suffix denotes a piston magnet for CMSG/DMSG/EMSG sensors.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAUF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAUF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

Sized within the valve's 0.15–0.8 MPa range. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical due to friction and back-pressure.

SAUF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For a held load, add an external rod lock or a pilot-operated check valve.
Mounts directly at the divert gate to push packages off the belt. The built-in 4M310 valve eliminates long tubing runs back to a central manifold, improving cycle response.
Raises and lowers security gates or material stops. With a safe working load near 1508 N, it handles heavy gates without needing a separate remote valve bank.
Provides isolated clamping on a large machining cell. One DC24V coil signal controls the clamp, freeing up manifold slots and simplifying pneumatic wiring.
When sizing, compare neighbouring bores: the 63mm bore offers 1559 N push while the 100mm bore yields 3927 N at 0.5 MPa. This 80mm unit provides 2513 N push and 2268 N pull at 0.5 MPa, peaking at 4021 N push at 0.8 MPa. Confirm the DC24V terminal entry and PT threads suit your control panel. The rod retracts by default when energised; reposition the valve to switch to extend-when-energised. Because the 250mm stroke exceeds 300mm, ensure external side-load guidance. The integrated valve routes air but does not function as a load lock—add an external rod lock or pilot-operated check valve to hold loads securely on air loss.
Quick checklist
It generates 2513 N push and 2268 N pull at 0.5 MPa, reaching 4021 N push at 0.8 MPa. The built-in valve is a 4M310-10 (3/8" port, Cv 1.68, 30 mm2 flow, max 4 cycles/sec). The coil is DC24V with terminal entry. Although the cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa, the assembled unit operates strictly within the valve's 0.15-0.8 MPa window.
By default the rod retracts when the coil is energised, but you can reconfigure it to extend-when-energised by repositioning the valve. The valve only routes air; it is not a load lock. The piston will drift on air loss, so you must add an external rod lock or pilot-operated check valve to hold a suspended load.
