The AirTAC Airtac SAUF Series Valve-Mounted Air Cylinder SAUF80X500-08B is a genuine double-acting profile-type cylinder with a Ø80mm bore, 500mm stroke and a built-in 4M310-08 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The SAUF80X500-08B is a double-acting profile cylinder with a built-in AirTAC 4M310-08 5/2 solenoid valve on the cap. One coil signal drives the actuator, saving a manifold slot and tubing for decentralized installation. The extruded aluminum barrel is shorter than an ISO 15552 cylinder of the same bore. It has a 500 mm stroke, a 3/8" cylinder port, and an M20x1.5 rod thread.
The integrated valve has a 1/4" port, 25 mm2 flow (Cv 1.4), and runs at 4 cycles/s. The DC24V coil offers IP65 protection with a 0.05 s response. Size force within the valve's 0.15-0.8 MPa window; at 0.5 MPa it pushes 2513 N and pulls 2268 N. This yields a safe working load of roughly 1508 N, or a 128 kg vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. This SKU lacks a magnet and cannot take a sensor.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAUF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAUF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

Sized within the valve's 0.15–0.8 MPa range. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical due to friction and back-pressure.

SAUF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For a held load, add an external rod lock or a pilot-operated check valve.
Mounts directly at the divert station. The built-in valve eliminates long tube runs back to a central manifold, giving a fast 500 mm stroke for large carton routing.
One coil signal extends the 80 mm bore stopper without occupying a manifold slot. The 2513 N push force at 0.5 MPa easily halts heavy pallets.
Ideal for a standalone safety gate far from the main panel. The DC24V terminal coil and integrated 4M310 valve simplify wiring and plumbing.
Size between the 63 mm bore (1559 N push @0.5 MPa) and the 100 mm bore (3927 N push @0.5 MPa). This 80 mm bore gives 2513 N push at 0.5 MPa. Confirm the DC24V coil and terminal entry suit your control system. The cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa, but the assembled SAUF must operate in the 0.15-0.8 MPa valve range. The valve routes air and is not a load lock; add an external rod lock or pilot-operated check valve to hold a load. For the 500 mm stroke, use external guides to prevent rod bending and side loads. This non-magnet SKU cannot accept a sensor.
Quick checklist
It pushes 2513 N and pulls 2268 N at 0.5 MPa. The built-in valve is a 4M310-08 (1/4" port, Cv 1.4, 4 cycles/s). The cylinder body rates to 1.0 MPa, but the assembled unit must run at 0.15-0.8 MPa. The coil is DC24V with terminal entry.
By default the rod retracts when the coil is energised. You can reconfigure it to extend-when-energised by repositioning the valve. The valve only routes air; it is not a load lock, so add an external rod lock for holding.
