Four steel tie rods clamp the aluminium barrel to the covers for high structural rigidity, while the two-way piston seal maintains an internal oil reservoir for long service life. Plan for about 3682 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which safely lifts roughly 313 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.

The built-in piston magnet (-S) directly supports CMSG, DMSG, and EMSG electronic or reed switches for end-of-stroke confirmation. Is the Airtac SGC Standard Cylinder SGC125X120S the Right Cylinder?

When sizing this 125 mm bore, step down to a smaller frame if your load requires less than 6000 N, or step up to the 160 mm bore (which provides 10053 N push at 0.5 MPa) if you need significantly more thrust. Because this is a 120 mm stroke, side-load risks are minimal, but always ensure the load is guided to prevent rod bending.
