This model is discontinued

AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is SAIJ80X125-10 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the SAIJ80X125-10 in place of this model. The SAI replacement keeps the same ISO 15552 mounting interface, bore, stroke, output force and accessories, so it drops straight into existing fixtures. It is the current-production version of this cylinder with an upgraded piston seal.

Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X125-10

The AirTAC Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X125-10 is a double-acting ISO 15552 (orig. ISO 6431) profile-barrel cylinder with a Ø80mm bore and 125mm stroke, G3/8 air ports and adjustable end cushioning. This model is discontinued — the drop-in replacement is the SAIJ80X125-10, which matches its ISO interface, bore, stroke, force and mounting.

About the Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X125-10

The AirTAC SIJ80X125-10 is a discontinued double-acting single-rod ISO 15552 adjustable-stroke cylinder with a 125 mm nominal stroke. An external stop screw lets you trim the extend stroke by up to 10 mm on-site, yielding a usable 115-125 mm range. The 80 mm bore features a G3/8 port, M20x1.5 rod thread, and 36 mm adjustable air cushions. This SKU has no -S magnet and cannot accept a magnetic switch.

The exact drop-in replacement is the SAIJ80X125-10, matching the ISO 15552 mounting interface, bore, and force. The SAIJ upgrade uses a two Y-shaped one-way piston seal for lower start-up pressure and longer life. At 0.5 MPa it delivers 2513 N push and 2268 N pull; the safe working load is ~1508 N (60% of push@0.5), allowing a 128 kg vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. The stop screw sets end position only; it is not a lock, so use an external rod lock or SAIL/BSAI variant for load holding.

Where the Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X125-10 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Press Fit Calibration

Fine-tune the 115-125 mm extend on-site to dial in exact insertion depths for bearing press fits without re-engineering the entire actuator setup.

packaging

Variable Carton Sealing

Accommodate minor box height deviations by trimming the extend stroke up to 10 mm, ensuring consistent sealing head contact across a mixed product run.

End-of-Arm Tooling Setup

Adjust the extend stop externally to set precise tooling clearance on the 80 mm bore, avoiding pneumatic cushion re-tuning during format changes.

Replacing the Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X125-10 with the SAIJ80X125-10

To replace the discontinued SIJ80X125-10, order the SAIJ80X125-10 drop-in to reuse your FA, LB, or TC mounts. The 10 mm adjust window gives a 115-125 mm extend range; if you need finer tuning, select a larger window. For sizing both ways, the 63 mm bore yields 1559 N push at 0.5 MPa, while the 100 mm bore yields 3927 N. Because this SKU lacks the -S magnet, it cannot support sensing; add -S if you need switches. For strokes >=300 mm, verify side-load guidance to prevent rod binding.

Airtac SIJ80 Dual Axis Adjustable Cylinder SIJ80X125-10 FAQ

Yes, the SIJ80X125-10 is discontinued. The exact drop-in replacement is the SAIJ80X125-10. It shares the identical ISO 15552 interface, 80 mm bore, 125 mm stroke, 10 mm adjust window, G3/8 port, and mounting dimensions, but features an upgraded two Y-shaped one-way piston seal.

The 80 mm bore provides 2513 N push and 2268 N pull at 0.5 MPa, 3518 N push at 0.7 MPa, and 4523 N push at 0.9 MPa (max 513 kgf at 1.0 MPa). The external stop screw provides a 10 mm adjust window, allowing you to shorten the 125 mm extend stroke down to 115 mm. The stop sets end position and is not a load lock.
