The AirTAC SIJ series is a double-acting, single-rod pneumatic cylinder with an external stop screw that shortens the extend stroke on-site. The nominal stroke is the maximum, and the adjust window spans 10-100mm across 9 bores from 32 to 200mm. It uses an extruded aluminum profile barrel, adjustable air cushions, and a sensor groove.
The force class scales with the bore: push force at 0.5 MPa spans about 402N on the 32mm bore up to 15708N on the 200mm bore. Theoretical max force at 1.0 MPa spans about 82kgf to 3204kgf. Ports range from G1/8 to G3/4 with PT, G, or NPT threads. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa.
The SIJ is discontinued. The drop-in replacement is the SAIJ (adjustable-stroke SAI), which shares the same ISO 15552 interface, bore, stroke, force, adjust window, port, and mounting. Mapping is SIJ to SAIJ by inserting an A after the leading S. The adjustable cushion decelerates the piston near stroke end but does not hold position; a mechanical lock or rod brake is required for load holding.
