This model is discontinued

AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is SAU50X75TC — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the SAU50X75TC in place of this model. The SAU replacement uses the same profile body, bore, stroke, force and SC-series mounting. It moves to the current CMSG / DMSG / EMSG sensor switches (the SU used CS1-B / DS1-B) and adds the SAUF valve-integrated option.

Airtac SU32~50 Standard Cylinder SU50X75TC

The AirTAC Airtac SU32~50 Standard Cylinder SU50X75TC is a double-acting profile-type standard cylinder with a Ø50mm bore and 75mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and adjustable end cushioning. This model is discontinued — the drop-in replacement is the SAU50X75TC, which matches its bore, stroke, force and mounting.

About the Airtac SU32~50 Standard Cylinder SU50X75TC

The AirTAC SU50X75TC is a discontinued double-acting profile-type cylinder with a 50mm bore and 75mm stroke. It delivers 982N push force at 0.5MPa via a 1/4" port. AirTAC replaced this EOL unit with the SAU50X75TC, a true drop-in alternative retaining the exact body, stroke, force, port size and TC mounting interface.

This compact extruded-aluminium body is shorter than an ISO 15552 equivalent of the same bore. For sizing, a safe working load is roughly 589N (about 60% of the 0.5MPa push force), translating to a vertical lift capacity around 50kg with a 2:1 safety margin. Note this non-magnetic SKU cannot accept a sensor, and while the SAU upgrade shares SC-series accessories, its sensing family changed to CMSG/DMSG/EMSG.

Where the Airtac SU32~50 Standard Cylinder SU50X75TC Is Used

conveyor_belt

Package Diverting

Actuates diverting arms on packaging lines where the 75mm stroke and 589N safe working load easily push cartons onto adjacent belts.

warehouse

Pallet Stop Gate

Raises and lowers stop gates at palletizing stations using the TC clevis mount, handling loads up to 50kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.

precision_manufacturing

Clamp Actuation

Secures medium workpieces during machining via the 50mm bore, providing 982N of clamping thrust at 0.5MPa operating pressure.

Replacing the Airtac SU32~50 Standard Cylinder SU50X75TC with the SAU50X75TC

To replace this SU50X75TC, order the SAU50X75TC. Verify your 1/4" port thread (PT, G or NPT) and the M16x1.5 rod-end connection. The TC mounting clevis is an SC-series accessory that transfers over directly. Because this specific SKU lacks the -S magnet, it cannot support a piston switch; if you need position sensing on the new SAU, you must select an -S model and migrate from the legacy CS1-B/DS1-B switches to the current CMSG/DMSG/EMSG family. If your application needs true load holding on air loss, add an external rod lock or pilot-operated check valve, as the adjustable 21mm air cushions only decelerate the piston near stroke end. For higher force demands, consider the 63mm bore (1559N push at 0.5MPa); for lighter loads, the 40mm bore (628N push) is usually sufficient. The SAU family also offers the SAUF variant with a built-in 4M solenoid valve for self-switching, which the SU line never had.

Airtac SU32~50 Standard Cylinder SU50X75TC FAQ

Yes, the SU50X75TC is discontinued. The exact drop-in replacement is the AirTAC SAU50X75TC. It shares the same 50mm bore, 75mm stroke, 1/4" port, output force and TC mounting, so it fits the same application without mechanical modifications.

At 0.5MPa it provides 982N push and 825N pull force; at 0.7MPa it pushes 1374N, and the theoretical maximum is 200kgf at 1.0MPa. Because this specific SKU lacks a magnet, it cannot accept a piston sensor. The SAU replacement with the -S option uses CMSG/DMSG/EMSG switches instead of the legacy CS1-B/DS1-B.
