The GL series is AirTAC's G-series economy air lubricator. It adds a controlled oil mist to compressed air so that downstream tools, cylinders and valves designed for lubricated air receive continuous lubrication. It performs a single function: it does not filter the air and it does not regulate pressure, so it always sits as the last stage of an air preparation train, immediately upstream of the device that needs the mist.
The range covers four bodies scaled to the line: GL200 for 1/8 and 1/4 inch ports, GL300 for 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch, GL400 for 3/8 and 1/2 inch, and GL600 for 3/4 and 1 inch. All bodies share one operating envelope: inlet pressure 0.05-1.0 MPa (7-145 psi) and a temperature range of -5 to +70 C that must not freeze. GL200, GL300 and GL400 use PC oil bowls; the large GL600 uses an aluminium-alloy oil bowl. PT, G and NPT thread options cover export markets, and a mounting bracket is included unless the J code deletes it.
The ordering code is the simplest in the G family: GL{body}-{port}[bracket][thread]. Where instrumentation, dry-running components or oil-sensitive processes are involved, a GF filter is the right part, not a lubricator; for premium features step up to the higher-end GAL series.

Workshop air tool stations
Impact wrenches, grinders and riveters specified for oil-mist operation run off 1/2 inch drops; a GL400 or GL600 placed at the point of use keeps the mist supply directly upstream of the tool.
Case-packing and carton-sealing lines
Packaging machines whose air cylinders are specified for lubricated air take a GL200 or GL300 on 1/4-1/2 inch ports, sized to the machine's individual air drop.
Printing press cylinder circuits
Presses running air cylinders designed for misted air use a GL300 on 3/8-1/2 inch lines, fitted after the filter and regulator so only clean, regulated air reaches the lubricator.
Compressor main-line take-offs
On 3/4-1 inch plant mains, the GL600 with its aluminium-alloy oil bowl serves a bank of lubricated-air tool drops from a single lubrication point.
How to Choose the Right Model
Match the body to air demand and the port to your line: GL200 for 1/8-1/4 inch drops, GL300 for 1/4-1/2 inch, GL400 for 3/8-1/2 inch at higher demand, and GL600 for 3/4-1 inch mains. Rated flow is not published for the G series, so send us your flow or port size and we confirm the correct body from the datasheet. Place the lubricator as the last stage, after filtration and regulation, and only where the downstream component is designed for oil-mist air.
Step out of the series when the function differs: a GF filter for dry-air or instrument circuits, a GR regulator for pressure control, a GFR filter regulator where both are needed, or a GC three-unit F.R.L. set and GFC two-unit filter-regulator-plus-lubricator for a complete assembly. Before ordering, confirm five points: body versus air demand, port size (06 to 25), thread type (PT, G or NPT), bracket included or deleted (J code), and bowl material preference - only GL600 offers the aluminium-alloy bowl. Oil type and drip setting: confirm from datasheet.

No. The GL adds oil mist only; it has no filter element, no pressure adjustment and no gauge. If the circuit needs clean air, dry air or controlled pressure, put a GF filter, GR regulator or GFR filter regulator upstream of it. For a complete assembly, the GC three-unit F.R.L. or the GFC two-unit filter-regulator-plus-lubricator combines the functions. A GL makes sense only where downstream components are designed to run on oil-mist air.
